Sunday July 28 9:30-4:30, pre-registration required
Dowsing is an ancient art, retaining great practicality even in modern times. Mainly associated with the search for water, the applications of dowsing are actually nearly limitless, and employed by people of all walks of life. In this basic to intermediate level workshop, we will start with an overview of basic dowsing; introduction to dowsing tools, experiencing a dowsing reaction, and discovering one's personal codes. Everything after is about increasing accuracy. Instructor Steve Herbert will then talk about live water and demonstrate the procedure he uses in location of digging or drilling sites. Next we will talk about the seven levels of the development of a dowser, moving on to theories about how dowsing works and advice on how to improve accuracy. The principles will be discussed mainly in relations to water dowsing, but we will then move on to other applications of dowsing, such as earth energy dowsing, agricultural dowsing and other topics as time permits.
This day long workshop is $70. We'll take an hour long lunch break, please bring a lunch. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Pre-registration is required, please email peaceofearthfarm@myfairpoint.net or call 802-755-6336 to register.
Steve Herbert has been dowsing for 34 years, specializing in water, geopathic energies and agricultural dowsing. Before becoming a dowser, he obtained a B.S. degree in Geology and an M.A. in Anthropology. After becoming a dowser he served in the US Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa, as an Agroforestry Extension Agent, but as a side project dowsed water well sites all over that country with good success. After his return he was asked to join the committee of the American Society of Dowsers' Water for Humanity Fund. He made his first trip to Central America in 1999 after Hurricane Mitch at the invitation of the US Partners of the Americas program to help restore water resources by training rural farmers to dowse. He has made a total of ten trips to date to several countries in Central and South American and the Caribbean to teach people to dowse, train them to use portable drilling equipment, consult on appropriate pumping technologies, build composting latrines and distribute water filters. Steve was named ASD Dowser of the Year in 2002 in recognition of his work. He served as Secretary and Project Manager of the ASD Water for Humanity Fund for nearly 19 years, helping to fund water resources development all around the world. Most recently, he has been developing a system for the application of dowsing to agriculture which he plans to present as an advanced dowsing workshop.
