The Cavendish Community and Conservation Association invites everyone to the Proctorsville Green for the continuing summer music series on Wednesday, July 17th at 6:00 p.m. to hear the large sound of the Springfield Community Band.
Newcomers to the Cavendish Summer Concert Series, the band was formed in 1946 and has delighted audiences throughout southern Vermont ever since. Under the direction of conductor and music director Nicholas Pelton, the musicians regularly play in Springfield during the summer season, but also entertain at several village locations.
This concert will be the second in this year's series of six concerts that are held on consecutive Wednesday nights in July and August, weather permitting. Come and enjoy a warm summer evening with your neighbors and friends in front of the gazebo on the green. Relax in the grass on your blanket or favorite lawn chair – have a picnic or just listen to the music. This concert is sponsored by Okemo Mountain Resort.
As always, the concerts are free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, check the Cavendish Facebook page for news. For more information please call Robin at 226-7736.
