The Artist In Residence Gallery at 10 S. Main St in St. Albans invites you to our monthly Featured Artists Reception on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The Gallery is the setting for the beautiful work of 40 outstanding Vermont artists in a wide range of mediums with prices. Each month our artists gather to socialize with our visitors and our featured artist give a brief presentation about their work. Light refreshments and pleasant conversation are available.
The featured artists for the month of July are:
Terry Buehner has created jewelry for over 20 years. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and is based on a unique story. Terry's media include polymer clay, wire, wet- and needle-felting, driftwood, stones, and repurposed items such as fabric, bicycle parts, and vintage beads. All proceeds from her jewelry sales are donated to HD Reach (North Carolina) and the Binter Center (Burlington, Vermont), non-profits that help families with Huntington's Disease. Terry is one of July's featured artists at the Artist In Residence Cooperative Gallery in St. Albans, VT.
Paule Gingras was born in Abitibi, Quebec, and raised in Montreal. Now a resident of Vermont, she paints to express the spirit and essence of the environment around her. Paule's paintings are colorful and spontaneous, reflective and evocative. Paule is one of the featured artists for the month of July at the Artist In Residence Gallery in St. Albans, VT.
Deborah Shell Clay has been a medium in which I am completely at home. Inspired by clay's capacity to produce textures, shapes and utility, my work is a combination of all three. The capacity for clay to convey emotion pleases me, especially when considering the opportunity to create a piece such as mug or a teapot that will brighten someone's day. Deb is one of July's featured artists at the Artist In Residence Gallery in Saint Albans Vermont.
El Towle As a retired Art Teacher I enjoy spending my winters stoking the fires and working on themed painting series. Having my home and studio on Lake Champlain inspired my latest vibrant series of work. Misty lake scapes, sunsets, birds on the shore are just a few examples of the subjects I explored in preparation for this show. I enjoy working in several mediums and especially enjoy the richness of oil paint or the translucency of acrylic. El is one of our featured artists for the month of July at Artist In Residence Gallery in Saint Albans, Vermont.
