Pawlet Public Library Book Sale July 27-28

Pawlet Public Library hosts its 52nd Annual Book Sale on Saturday, July 27 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday, July 28 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) at Mettawee Community School, 5788 VT Rt 153, West Pawlet, VT (just off VT Rt 30). With more than 20,000 new and used books, it's one of the largest sales in New England, drawing fans from across Vermont, New York and Massachusetts. Stock up on year-round reading: Saturday browse for hardcovers $2, softcovers $1, children's hardcovers $1, all paperbacks 25 cents or 6/$1; Sunday is Bag Sale Day (all day). Credit cards are accepted. Bring bags or boxes. Category tables include: fiction and mystery, rare books, young adult, children's books, and non-fiction books on art, history, biography, cooking, gardening, health and lots more – plus paperbacks, DVDs, CDs, VHS, albums, puzzles and games. Other temptations: Book Lover's Café, bake sale and raffle to win a Chandler 4 Corners hooked rug (2'x4').
