THE MORRISTOWN CONSERVATION COMMISSION IS HOSTING 2 TRAIL BUILDING WORK DAYS JULY 20TH (JULY 27TH RAIN DATE) AND AUGUST 3RD (AUGUST 10TH RAIN DATE) FROM 9AM-12 NOON.
Volunteers are needed for this project! The goal is to rough in and then finish a short section of new trail. This new trail will connect existing trails within the Mt. Mansfield State Forest and the Morristown Forest, creating a loop trail that is more accessible to varying age demographics and athletic abilities than the existing trails in that area.
Volunteers should bring tools (saw, limb clippers, hoes, etc.) as there will be a limited amount provided. Volunteers should also bring water, bug spray, and protective clothing (gloves, hat, closed toed shoes).
We will meet at the Beaver Meadow Parking Lot in July. The August meeting site is to be announced.
