Stowe Jewish Film Festival Kickoff and First Film

The Stowe Jewish Film Festival presents its Opening Night film, Reaching for Zion, at 7 pm, Wednesday evening, July 10 at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe. Reaching for Zion takes the viewer on a quest in search of Zion, a metaphor for home, joining Donisha Pentergast, Bob Marley's granddaughter, in Israel and Jamaica. There will be a Talk Back with the filmmakers Irene Angelico and Abbey Neidick.

Tickets are $10 in advance (https://www.sprucepeakarts.org/events/) and $15 at the door.

To get in the mood for the first film, come enjoy the sounds of local Reggae rockers, Soulstice, at The Stowe Jewish Film Festival's Kickoff Party, Reggae Bash, at 8 pm on Tuesday evening, July 9 at Zen Barn, 179 Guptil Road in Waterbury (https://zenbarnvt.com/event/reggae-night-with-soulstice/).

No tickets are required for this event. Donations to support the Stowe Jewish Film Festival are welcome.
