Join wildlife biologist Chris Schandler for her presentation on "The Real Eastern Coyote" on Friday, July 12 at Shelburne Town Hall.
Chris, with 30 years of wolf and coyote research experience, will provide unique insight into this wild canid. She holds a masters in Conservation Biology and is also a sheep farmer.
Learn the true story of the eastern coyote -- how and when it arrived in New England, how it lives among us, although rarely seen, and how it contributes to keeping our forests and fields healthy.
Learn why it is a creature of our own making! It is smart, ecologically beneficial and by its presence, gives "wild" back to our wild lands.
Despite being the most unfairly persecuted carnivore in North America, the coyote survives and thrives.
Date: July 12 (Friday), 6-7:30 PM
Place: Shelburne Town Hall, meeting rooms 1-2 on the 2nd floor
Cost: Free and open to the public
