Radical European Chamber Folk Music at it's best!
Inner Fire District was founded in 2006 in Burlington, Vermont, by accordionist, singer, and composer David Symons and multi-instrumentalist savant Tim Lang. The music of the IFD can be loosely described as Radical European Chamber Folk, combining apparently disparate elements of Eastern European folk music, revolutionary working class agit-prop, Brechtian cabaret, and intricate original compositions. Following a seven-year hiatus, IFD continues to evolve as a summer project of Vermont and New Orleans musicians.
