Film Screening

Past event

There's an interesting film showing at the Middlebury Marquis Theater this Wednesday, July 10, 7 PM. It is a Patagonia Production called "Artifishal", and addresses the ongoing decline of salmon (and thus killer whales and native American cultures) in the United States, and the misguided efforts to address that decline through hatcheries and fish farming rather than habitat protection and restoration. The film has had screenings in major cities around the world since April, including the Tribeca Film Festival in Manhattan, and we are now fortunate to have it locally, thanks to sponsors Middlebury Mountaineer and Patagonia. Cost is only $5 and all proceeds go to the New Haven River Anglers Association for their Women in Waders Program, stream restoration, and Youth Days. A trailer may be seen through this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-MMlQ5AIzQ&authuser=0. (if the link doesn't work simply search for "Artifishal".

And for Brandonites, you might even see a familiar face a few times in the film! There will be a short Q & A session afterward.
