In past years, medicinal plant expert Allison Turner has led us on wildflower walks in the Hogback Mountain Conservation Area to identify spring flowers and late summer flowers. This year she will take us on a tour of the glorious mid-summer flowers. She has a deep knowledge of how these plants were used by early settlers and how they can still be used today, for things medicinal as well as practical. This is an easy ramble, with lots of stopping to enjoy the blossoms. Meet in the field behind the white distillery building on the south side of Route 9 just west of the gift shop. Questions? Email us at hmca@hogbackvt.org.
