Guitarist Loubet started playing at the age of six on a guitar made by his father. He then went on to study out west and now tours around the U.S. and abroad with all sorts of crazy, wonderful ensembles like Burnt Sugar, The Three Bean Stew, Hip Hop Orchestra, Nu Afrika and his own band, The Citizens, an Avant-Rock band froim NYC.
Loubet says of his long time friend M'Balia Singley, "She is one of my favorite singers in the whole world--the fact that I also get to work with her is a miracle. We spent many (MANY) years playing music together around Philly and New York, so performing with her just feels like home.
She is both talented and fearless, accurate and playful, evocative and hilarious. M'B is a master songwriter, telling stories of personal adventures and motherhood, but also sculpts the full gamut of popular songs to be all her own, from Solomon Burke and Sarah Vaughn to Prince and David Bowie.
As anyone who saw her last (sold out) performance in North Bennington will tell you, this is not to be missed." Tickets on sale now at www.vtartxchange.org. Call VAE with more info. 802-442-5549.
