River Arts is excited to welcome back composer and Sitar musician, Deobrat Mishra! Deobrat is the son of Pandit Shivnath Mishra, legendary Sitar player from Varanasi, India. He has an energetic and innovative playing style which combines original music with Dhrupad and Khayal singing, creating a new genre. His many projects include music workshops, solo performances for radio and tv, as well as world music programs with Indian and European artists. Deobrat and his father founded the Academy of Indian Classical Music in 2006 and he received his Masters degree in Sitar. Spend an afternoon with this amazing and unique musician at River Arts!
