To help prevent flooding and pollution in Moon and Mussey Brooks, the Town of Rutland recently enacted a new stormwater ordinance. This ordinance places guidelines and restrictions on certain activities along these brooks. Some landowners may need to file a permit application and obtain approval before doing certain activities in these areas.

On Thursday evening, July 11, the Town of Rutland Selectboard and Planning Commission will host an informational meeting for the public to explain what's in the ordinance and to answer any of your questions. The meeting will be at the Municipal Town Hall in Center Rutland beginning at 6:00 pm.
