Intro to Permaculture Design Mini-Course!

Past event
Jul 13, 9 AM to 4 PM, Jul 14, 2019

Interested in learning about the permaculture design process but not sure if you want to invest in a full-blown design course? Do you have an interest in sustainability, resilience, local food, and taking positive action for your home, neighborhood, or community?

Please join us in East Montpelier for this popular Mini-Permaculture Design Workshop with Rachel Lyn Rumson! Rachel has been teaching and practicing permaculture since 2009 and has a demonstration site in Gray, Maine.

The site of this class will be a private residence that will be also be the subject of the workshop. When the owners of the site are ready participants may be invited back for part of the installation.

One weekend, Saturday July 13th and Sunday July 14th 2019 from 9 am to 4 pm both days. Suggested donation of $65 to cover the instructors travel expenses. Donations in excess of that will be used to support future permaculture learning.

Participants in this Intro to Permaculture Design Mini Course will meet on Both Saturdays and Sunday to work through a real, live design process. With our client (who will have completed a questionnaire in advance), we will co-create a practical permaculture design based on their specific goals and the assets and challenges of their site.

You will come away with a strong foundation for understanding and applying permaculture ethics and design principles. You will have a framework and a process for approaching a property from a permaculture perspective. You will feel confident about taking strides on your own property, if applicable, and will dispel that feeling of not knowing "where to start." You will understand much more about permaculture as a design approach.
