From the Huntington Town Clerk:

Huntington will host a "Johnny Come Lately" Rabies Clinic on July 6, 8 am to 10 am, at the Huntington Fire House in Huntington Center. This extra effort is in response to a request made of Town Clerks to provide another opportunity for people who have not yet vaccinated their pets in 2019 (If your pet's rabies certificate in current, you do not need to do this. Feel free to call the office - 434-2032 - to check.). The rabies shot is $20. To get the three-year vaccination, please bring your current rabies certificate. Dogs must be leashed and cats much be crated.

You can register your dog at the clinic with the Town Clerk. if you have not done so in 2019. This registration is at the post-April 1 rate: $19 for spayed/neutered and $28 intact.

Also, at the clinic, an opportunity for microchipping will be available. The cost is $35 per animal.  It is estimated that the procedure will take 5-10 minutes with the paperwork. It is a one-time expense and you can register your pet's chip information on the national registry at no cost.
