VT Gran Fondo Cycling Event Saturday

Past event
Jun 29, 2019, 9 AM to 5 PM

On Sat., June 29, a very large cycling event will take place in Lincoln. There are several different rides throughout the day, with the longest route being 100 miles long. The start and finish will be at the Bristol Recreation Park off of Airport Drive, and there will be staggered starting times depending on the length of each route.

MOTORISTS, PLEASE USE CAUTION while traveling through Lincoln and surrounding areas this Saturday. You can expect to encounter large numbers of cyclists on River Road, Quaker Street, Downingsville Road, Lincoln Gap Road, and Ripton Road during the entire day. Also, expect lots of cyclists gathered for water stops at the top of the App Gap (they will be coming through there twice), Lincoln Gap, and Middlebury Gap Roads.

People come from all over to participate in this event, but we also have a few intrepid Lincolnites riding in it as well. I'm sure any of them will appreciate a cheer of support as they pass by your homes. Please also anticipate keeping your dogs from chasing riders. If you have specific questions, please contact Todd Warnock, the event coordinator. Here is a link to the website: http://vermontgranfondo.com/contact/ Thank you for safely sharing the road!
