Grand Opening; Band Exhibit and Free Concert

The St. Johnsbury History and Herritage Center at 421 Summer Street will have a Grand Opening of a new exhibit of the St. Johnsbury Band at 7:00 PM Monday, July 1st, weather permitting. The band is in its 189th year and is the third oldest, continually performing band in the United States. The exhibit features rare historic instruments, uniforms and band memorabilia. The History and Heritage Center will offer special evening hours and be open during the concert.

This will also be the Grand Opening of the new Summer House at the Heritage Center, recreated on the property from historic photos.

A concert will be offered by the St. Johnsbury Band and an ice cream social will be offered, sponsored by Passumpsic Savings Bank. The concert, ice cream social and admission to the Heritage Center are all free and open to the public. You may wish to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Please note that this special concert at the Heritage Center will be instead of the regular concert at the bandstand in Courthouse Park.
