Ann Naumann posted an announcement about a peaceful protest being held at Volunteer Green on July 12 protesting the treatment of children being detained by US customs. Since then I have read an editorial by the New York Times and listened to a story on On Point about this practice. I encourage you all to do the same. Here are the links:

I am appalled, dismayed and disgusted that our government is doing this in our name. And to children! We cannot let this stand. It is time to call our congressional delegation and to march in the streets sit necessary to stop this inhumane practice. We cannot let this define who we are as a nation.
