Kids' Activities at the Paine Mountain Trail Race

Join us Saturday, July 13th for the 2nd Annual Paine Mountain Trail Race at the Norwich University Shaw Outdoor Center. It will be fun for the whole family! While the runners are out racing the 10km, Heavy Half and Marathon courses, there will be fun and games for the kids!!
Kids' activities are being sponsored by the Brown Public Library, Northfield Recreation Committee, Northfield Conservation Commission and Drift Farmstead.

Schedule of events:
9:30am The Brown Public Library will lead a guided Storywalk®️ of Over in the Meadow. The Storywalk®️ will be available for self-guided walks throughout the day.
"The Storywalk®️ project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk®️ is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson."

10am-1pm Come play with the Northfield Recreation Committee! A variety of games and activities including corn-hole, tic-tac-toe, hula hoops and balls to toss will be available to play with.

10:00-11:00 Join the Northfield Conservation Commission and Drift Farmstead in creating a Community Collage project that will highlight farm and land conservation.

11:30 Registration opens for the free kids' race
12:00 Kids' 1-mile trail race

Please note that these are not drop-off activities. A parent or guardian must be responsible for the child(ren) at all times.
