Conservation Art Program Call for Artists!

Past event
Jul 9, 2019, 1 to 3 PM

Together with the MAC Center for the Arts and the Memphremagog Watershed Association, the Orleans County Natural Resources Conservation District is pleased to announce the theme for our third conservation art show – "Ecosystem Services & Agriculture in the Memphremagog Watershed." All interested artists and artisans are welcome to participate.
Participating artists will be invited to attend an optional farm visit day later this summer in Craftsbury that will showcase the work NEK producers are doing to enhance ecosystem services in the Memphremagog Watershed. Work relating to the chosen theme will be submitted for jury and exhibition in April of 2020 at the MAC Center for the Arts in downtown Newport.

Interested in learning more? There will be an informational gathering held on Tuesday, July 9th from 1 pm to 3 pm at the MAC Center for the Arts at 158 Main Street in Newport. Ryan Patch from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food, & Markets will be there to talk about the theme and the ecosystem services discussion in the statehouse.
