On Sunday, August 18, at 9am, a company of Civil War re-enactors will fire a volley of muskets, signaling the start of the FIRST St. Albans Raid Half Marathon! The Chamber hopes that over time, this race becomes a signature event, bringing athletes and their families to St. Albans to enjoy our shops, dining, and recreational outdoor arena.

Please plan to stop downtown, visit the Civil War encampment in Taylor Park, and cheer on the 100+ athletes visiting St. Albans (many for the first time) to participate in this race - running like bandits through our town! The start line is at the crosswalk in front of Twiggs Gastropub. Race time is 9:00 am. Thanks in advance for your community support!
