The Pawlett Historical Society will be hosting Up Home Exhibit, hand-colored photographs of the Griswold Home in Pawlet, by Susanne and Neil Rappaport, at the Pawlet Town Hall. After Minnie passed away in 1952, her sons locked up their mother's house in Pawlet and left all her belongings in place, unaltered. Thirty years later, Pawlet documentarians, Susanne and Neil Rappaport returned at the invitation of one of the brothers, Charlie, and went on to produce a collection of hand-colored photographs of Minnie's home. This rarely seen collection of over 45 hand-colored photographs will be on display:
Saturday-Sunday June 22-23 10-3
June 24-28 2-4 pm
Saturday, July 6 2-3:30. At 2:30 there will be a special presentation by Eileen Travell, senior photographer for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Weekends through July 27-28 10-5pm
The Pawlet Town Hall is handicapped accessible.
