Riverwatch Collaborative Training March 22

Past event
Mar 22, 2014

Just want to remind, invite, and urge interested folks to attend a training being held this Saturday, from 9-11am at the Addison Country Regional Planning Commission office (Seminary Street) by the Addison County Riverwatch Collaborative. The training is for folks who are interested in volunteering to collect water samples on area rivers. We sample the first Wednesday of the month from 7-9:30am, April (hopefully!) through September. It is hoped that a volunteer can do at least two or more of the sampling days. At the training, volunteers will learn more about the work of ACRWC, how are data is used, and sampling protocols that ensure our data is reliable. As well as practicing sampling techniques, this will be a time to sign up for sampling dates during the season. This is a great way to learn about and contribute to the health of our area rivers and streams! Contact Heidi Willis (redsprings@nbnworks.net) or Matt Witten, Coordinator (mwitten@gmavt.net) with questions, and hope to see you there!
