Past event
Jun 20, 2019, 9 to 10:30 AM

Coming up Thursday on Goddard College Community Radio - the statewide impact of the renewable energy economy, and an update on Marshfield and Plainfield's plans for creating a stronger climate economy locally.

9:00 - 10:00 am
Andy Perchlik of the state's Clean Energy Development Fund (and Washington County Senator) will talk about the new report on Vermont's renewable energy economy—how it's developing, how many jobs it provides, and where those jobs are.

Jon Copans of the Vermont Council on Rural Development will give us an update on RAMP, the Revitalizing All Marshfield and Plainfield planning process. They're working at the local level to build an economy around renewable energy and other initiatives that will be robust and resilient in the face of climate change, and which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Our conversation will be just ahead of Thursday night's meeting at Twinfield, at which the new task forces will be launched. (6:00 Pizza from Marshfield Village Store; 6:30 program starts.)
