Huntington Town Plan Public Hearing

Past event
Jun 25, 2019, 7 to 9 PM

From the Huntington Planning Commission:

The Huntington Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 25, 7 pm, at the Huntington Public Library. The purpose of the hearing is to present the proposed town plan and take public comments. The HPC will then review the comments at its next meeting, make adjustments to the document and then forward it to the Selectboard for review and hearing.

The current Town Plan expires in September 2019. By statute, the Town Plan must be re-adopted in September as it is in a five-year cycle. The proposed Town Plan, when it is adopted, will be in place for eight years; the document can be revised, too, in this time, with appropriate statutory actions (hearings by the HPC and the Selectboard).

Copies of the Town Plan are available at huntingtonvt.org (click on the reference on the Home Page) and the Town Clerk's Office. Visit the Huntington Public Library (open Sundays noon to 5 pm) and read the copy available there.
