The Hogback Ski Area closed in 1986, but there is still a lot of equipment on the mountain, some of it quite large and obvious, other bits small and hidden. We'll ramble around the former ski area, discovering some of these bits and pieces and figuring out what they were used for, getting a nice overview of the evolution of the ski industry and lift equipment as we go. Finding some of the items will require bushwhacking off the beaten path, but those who want a more mellow meander can stick to the trail and we'll reconnect. Expect a slow pace with some noticeable elevation gain and loss. It was a ski area after all!
