First Montpelier Community Mass Ride and Alternative Transportation Fest! Saturday June 22, 1:30-5pm
Bring your bikes, friends, bells, and whistles on Saturday, June 22nd! Families, grands-parents, youth, everyone's invited!
We are organizing the first Montpelier community Mass Ride for the Planet in Montpelier, and we hope you will join! This event will be the culmination of our work this year with Mother Up! and we are partnering with the Central Vermont Climate Action, Timberhomes Vermont, and Vbikesolutions, to make it happen!
Schedule is as follows: 1:30-2pm: Meet at Montpelier High School: tune up and decorate bikes!!
2-3pm: Ride together from MHS to the TimberHomes headquarters on VT12 North (3 miles). Wear yellow vests/bright colors, fun hats, bring water bottles, and joyful noisemaking devices.
3-4pm: Festive food table, EBikes petting zoo, smoothie making pedal station, bike fixing station, bicycle story time for kids, adults learn more about local alternative transportation options.
4-5pm: Dave Cohen from vbikesolutions.org in Brattleboro, will offer an interactive community talk on the history of mass rides and the future of alternative commuting.
Note: There will be a sweeper car that can assist people during the ride, and help people get back to the high school if they need a ride back to their car there. People can leave their kids with our childcare helpers and go get their cars, and bring them to the Timberhomes shop after the ride.
Other details: *Event is FREE and open to all *Childcare/kid activities provided 3-5 * Food table will offer pizza, finger foods and drinks. Be in touch if you can bring extra finger foods to share (savory/sweet)

Let friends know that if they can't ride, they are still welcome to join the fest and talk at 3pm. They can park at the Timberhomes headquarters, 21 fork road, up rte. VT12 N.
