Village Pedestrian Safety Group Meeting

Past event
Jun 18, 2019, 6 to 7:30 PM

The Village Pedestrian Safety Group is an ad hoc group of village residents who have been working together for almost 3 years to calm traffic and improve pedestrian and bike safety in the village core.

Our mission is: to actively work toward the creation of a culture of safe year-round walkability and connectivity in the village core. This includes, but is not limited to, safe paths, sidewalks and crosswalks, bicycle routes and vehicular traffic that adheres to speed limits and complies with crosswalk laws. We value collaborative relationships with town employees and elected officials, volunteer committees and boards and the general public. While safety is our top priority, we also strive for changes that add aesthetic value to an already charming village core.

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Town Office Building. These meeting are open to all and we welcome newcomers to join in our efforts.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 18, 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Peach Room which is across the hall from meeting rooms 1 and 2 in the Shelburne Town Office Building.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in attending, I would encourage you to send me an email so that I can send the agenda and some background information about our group. Also, the Peach Room (not our usual space) is small and we would like to be prepared with enough chairs.
