Pollinator Q and A - June 15

Past event
Jun 15, 2019, 8:30 to 10 AM

Twelve years ago the U.S. Senate designated a week in June as "National Pollinator Week" to bring awareness to the urgent issue of declining pollinator populations. Pollinator Week, which is managed by Pollinator Partnership (www.pollinator.org), has grown into an international celebration of the valuable ecosystem services provided by pollinating insects and animals.

Jericho has a Pollinator Garden designed to showcase native plants that you can use in your home landscape to support local pollinators.

The Pollinator Garden is located at the west side of the Jericho Green - in the triangle next to the Country Store.

Come any time and see what's blooming, but we will have a pop-up Open Garden on Saturday, June 15th where I will be on site from 8:30-10 am to answer your questions. This month the lovely native, Golden Alexanders, is blooming its cheery yellow umbels. It serves as a host plant for the Black Swallowtail Butterfly.
