REMINDER -_ Tom MacKenzie Plays All Kinds of Traditional Music at Tinmouth's Old Firehouse this Friday June 14.
Tom MacKenzie will close out the Tinmouth Old Firehouse spring season on June 14 at 7:30 PM. We owe Tom a big turnout…last time he was here, playing with Patti Casey, the electricity in the Village went out at 5 PM. Tina at the Snack Bar had a generator running – the only lights in the village – and she took us in for a great concert for a surprising number of adventurous souls who came anyway. Tom plays everything from French Canadian dance tunes, to Tin Pan Alley, to Old Time Country, to Ragtime to Classical, and anything is likely to be on the musical menu. Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King on Hammered Dulcimer? Tom can do it!
Tom was a member of the Woods Tea Company for many years, but now keeps busy working with a number of other musicians.
Though we'd hoped Patti Casey would be with him, she has a family obligation that night. We're looking forward to the talent and fun of Tom's songs and stories and silliness too - with his banjo, hammered dulcimer, guitar, keyboard, and recently the Ukulele.

Concert begins at 7:30 PM. Doors open at 7 PM. No-charge raffle at intermission for free tickets for future concerts. The Old Firehouse is at 7 Mountain View Road in downtown Tinmouth, just a couple of hundred feet south of the intersection with Vermont 140. Suggested donation of $10 to $15; 90% to the musicians; 10% to the Town for maintenance of the Old Firehouse. Local groups provide refreshments. Your donations support their activities.
The famous Tinmouth Snack Bar will be open for dinner, snacks and ice cream before the show.
