Memoir Writing Workshop at Greater Barton Arts Center Starts June 24
Have you always wanted to untangle some significant happening in your past, and to consider its influence on your present day life? Have you had a career and other work or volunteer experiences that need more social context understanding? Do you want to memorialize those experiences from a present day vantage point? Life experiences that deeply shaped you may not have been truly "processed" or internalized. Writing about them can help you unravel their significance.
These are reasons for Memoir Writing and this workshop of writer participants will begin to write together. No previous experience is required; you do not have to be a 'writer' or one who frequently writes to join this class. Mondays 6:30 to 8:30 in the Parlor at the Arts Center, 396 Main Street, Barton. The class will be led by Ellen Mass, English teacher non-fiction writer and journalist. Ellen from Cambridge, Massachusetts is a Summer resident for over 10 years in West Glover. She enjoys poetry and water color with Northeast Kingdom Plein Air. For more information or questions contact ellenmass@gmail.com
