What the heck is Qigong?

Most people are familiar with Tai Chi, and both practices focus on energy and breathing and movement. Of the two, Qigong is more ancient and adaptable to all ages and abilities.

Qigong ("chee-gong") is a 5000 year-old Chinese health practice. It combines slow graceful movements with mental concentration and breathing to increase and balance a person's vital energy - one's "chi".
It's sometimes referred to as CHINESE YOGA.
Qigong is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Millions of people practice Qigong in China and around the world each day to treat diseases ranging from osteoarthritis to cancer, and to improve overall health.

Mela Bradley studied acupuncture and Qigong in China. She has been a practitioner for 25+ years.
This introductory 1 hour practice begins at 9:30.
The location is 2.2 miles up Cox Brook Road from the Falls General Store, the driveway on the left.
Loose clothing is recommended - and be prepared to learn, relax and restore your vital energy.
