Exploring the Starksboro Town Forest: A joint outing of the Starksboro Conservation Commission and the Vermont Master Naturalist Program, Saturday, June 15, from 8:30 to 11:30am, Hillsboro Rd.
The Starksboro Town Forest is 300 acres of lovely woods in the Hillsboro section of town. This forest is rich in birds, wildlife, biodiversity, and cultural history. Join us for a three hour walk with a duo of experts - forester Robert Turner, and birder/naturalist Chris Runcie. We'll explore various points of interest and discuss how this forest can be a resource to the town. Hiking boots recommended. Bring water and a snack.
Meet at 8:30am at the bottom of Hillsboro Rd (off Rte 116 in Starksboro). We'll carpool from there to the site as there is limited parking. For more information, contact Chris Runcie at 453-4603, runcie@gmavt.net.
