The Haystack Crossing subdivision sketch plan review continues at Tuesday's (3/18) Development Review Board meeting - Town Office (main hall, Route 116 level) at 7:30pm. Another application is on the agenda to be discussed first; however, this won't last long, so plan to arrive for 7:30pm if you are interested in discussion on the Haystack Crossing project.
The developer (Black Rock Construction) is proposing a subdivision with 90+ lots, 245 dwelling units, 50,000+ square feet of commercial space, as well as open/green space. The property is an undeveloped 84-acre parcel owned by Haystack Crossing LLC on the west side of Route 116, generally between Kinney Drugs and Shelburne Falls Road, in the Village Northwest and Agricultural zoning districts. This project was first discussed at the February 18 DRB meeting. The subdivision conceptual-level review (sketch plan) was continued to the March 18 meeting to allow the DRB more time to review possible compliance issues and the need for related plan revisions. The applicant has been considering feedback from the first meeting, and while no revisions have been formally submitted, the applicant may propose some at the March 18 meeting.
More information about this project, including application submissions, can be found on the Town website at www.hinesburg.org. For more information or questions, contact the Planning & Zoning Office.
