The Land Use Regulation Update Committee (Ferrisburgh's LURUC) has invited Richard Amore from Vermont's Agency of Commerce and Community Development to attend our meeting on June 25th. Richard and some LURUC members will be touring the North Ferrisburgh / Old Hollow Road area beforehand, starting around 5 pm. The leadership of the North Ferrisburgh United Methodist Church has kindly given us permission to use their parking lot as a starting point. We'll gather there and drive as few cars as possible around the area including Four Winds Road and Mount Philo Road, for Richard's benefit. (If you're familiar with the area, you can skip this part.)
Richard's presentation will start at 5:30 at the Town Offices, 3279 Route 7, and is expected to last around 30 minutes. This is a preliminary exploration of the benefits and drawbacks of the Village Center Designation, how it might impact zoning by-laws and other aspects of town governance, etc. For more information about the designation, see https://accd.vermont.gov/community-development/designation-programs/village-centers

We may have an additional guest at our meeting that evening - Brandy Saxton of PlaceSense, our consultant who is helping us with draft language. We need to confirm her availability; I will send a separate announcement when I know what her schedule is. If she does come, we'd hear from her starting around 6:15 or so, after Richard's presentation.
