The Grand Isle Historical Society has invited Dr. Susan Ouellette to speak about French-Canadian Migration to Vermont on Thursday June 12th, from 7-8 PM at the historic Block School House in Grand Isle.

Dr. Ouellette is a professor of history at St. Michael's College. One of her areas of expertise is immigration history, especially the experience of Francophones in the Northeast.

Last summer, Dr. Ouellette presented two very interesting programs for the Historical Society.

The Historical Society is pleased to have her return.

The program is free and all are invited to attend. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to expand your understanding of Vermont history and how our neighbors to the north played a significant role in Grand Isle County's and Vermont's settlement.

The Block House School is located on Rte. 2 in Grand Isle next to the Hyde Log Cabin just north of the Grand Isle elementary school.
