A Time Bank for the White River Region

Past event
Jun 12, 2019, 5:30 to 7:30 PM

One outcome from the 4-Town visioning sessions organized by the Vermont Council on Rural Development was a strong interest in the development of a "time bank" or resource and skills sharing program throughout the region. That interest has led to the planned first gathering of people from around the White River valley at the Commons @ BALE, (35 S. Windsor St.) in South Royalton on Wed., June 12 from 5:30-7 PM. Just what a time bank is and how it works are the first order of business; then we'll see if there's strong enough interest to make it happen. Simply put, it's a way to give and receive services to and from each other, learn new skills, meet new people, save money and feel a sense of connection to our communities…. And keep it LOCAL.
