The Extinction Rebellion Movement

Past event
Jun 10, 2019, 7 to 9 PM

Are you wondering about stepping up your commitment to address the climate emergency? Wondering how that might happen together in communities of like-minded people? Here might just be the right opening for you. Come to the Commons @ BALE, 35 South Windsor Street in South Royalton on Mon., June 10 at 7 PM or to the North Chapel UU Church, 7 Church St., in Woodstock on Tue., June 11 at 7 PM to hear about – and possibly launch – the Extinction Rebellion here. The gathering features Maria and Ward Ogden, who live in Putney on a small farm and have recently become active in bringing the wisdom and ways of Extinction Rebellion to Vermont. Extinction Rebellion (XR) is a peaceful, non-violent movement that has emerged in Britain and now has 650 groups formed in 45 countries. All are invited to learn more about what Extinction Rebellion is and how, as a community, we might be able to increase our commitment address the climate emergency… and save our species.

The program is free.
