A Catholic priest marries and in a year becomes Dad to a kid the doctors identify as a girl but the "smart parents" name Rebecca Adam.
The child will take Dad on a 22-year rollercoaster ride home to the "boy in the mirror" they all knew they had.
Father Rick Prashaw becomes a proud father of a transgender son.
Sadly, a tragedy involving a seizure-related drowning claims Adam's life. Redemption comes in Adam as a registered organ donor saving four lives, including a grateful heart recipient who will burst into their lives and have family cheering him at the finish line in a half marathon race to honour Adam.
Rick Prashaw, in Soar, Adam, Soar, tells Adam's and his own courageous, inspiring journey home to a surprising gratitude that breaks into the permanent grief.
