Green Mountain United Way is hosting two Days of Caring in 2019. These volunteer events help support your fellow central Vermonters through the work of local nonprofit organizations. These events are happening at various locations in central Vermont on June 5th and June 7th.
On Wednesday, June 5th, help a local family build strength, stability, and self-reliance by volunteering at Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity's 2019 High-Performance Home Build in Randolph. Once completed, this energy efficient house will become home to a local family. No building or construction experience is needed, crew leaders will help train and guide volunteers to complete activities.
On Friday, June 7th we will be hosting volunteers at 3 separate local nonprofits: The Family Center of Washington County, Good Beginnings, and The Vermont Foodbank. Activities include everything from spring clean-up, landscaping, and gardening to sorting and packing food for our neighbors facing hunger. Groups or teams of friends, neighbors, or co-workers are welcomed!
