Whether it's a date night, family outing or getting a chance to meet up with friends and neighbors, we hope to see you this Friday, March 21st for this film!

You are invited to a screening of: The Summer of Walter Hacks. A Vermont made film by George Woodward and Gerianne Smart, with an original score composed by our own Monkton icon, Pete Sutherland. The film will start at 7:30 and runs two hours. There will be a question and answer period after the viewing. This film is both an homage to great western films of the 1940's and 1950's, and a coming-of-age story set in 1950's Vermont.

When: Friday March 21st. Doors open at 6:45!
Where: Monkton Central School
Cost: $5 suggested donation.

In the words of Gerianne Smart, "Our film is in black and white and tells the story of an 11-year-old farm boy, during the summer of 1952. He lives on the farm with his father and older brother and they all do their chores. His seemingly idyllic life is challenged when tragedy strikes the farm and he and his brother need to make things work "all on their own". They have to grow up fast and we see Walter transition from a young boy with an adventurous summer to a young man having to make hard choices. Full of humor, adventure and excitement, this film is capturing hearts, from 11 year old children to their great grandparents and everyone in between."
