Coming up Thursday on Goddard College Community Radio - a look at why a carbon tax is most powerful when paired with smart investment in renewable energy and efficiency.
9:00 - 10:00 am
The Vermont legislature has gone home for the session without passing a carbon tax. Rick Weston of the Montpelier-based Regulatory Assistance Project will talk about how state and regional efforts have achieved energy savings more through targeted investment than an energy tax, and how to build on current efforts in weatherization and transportation to invest in reducing carbon emissions in Vermont. The conversation is based on RAP's report "Economic Benefits and Energy Savings through Low-Cost Carbon Management."
