Fiber Art in the Maker Tent, Cambridge

Past event
Jun 2, 2019, 10 AM to 2 PM

Discover a new meeting space at the crossroads of art and agriculture. The Maker Tent at the Cambridge Valley Farmer's Market features artists who work with natural materials from our farms and woods. On Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 10am to 2 pm, the Cambridge Valley Farmers Market is pleased to welcome Sylvana Maione to the Maker Tent. Come watch Sylvana work, ask questions, view her adorable amigirumi creations, and perhaps be inspired to get sudsy and try a wet-felted soap project (takes about 20 minutes to complete).

The Maker Tent and Homegrown Music at the market are generously supported by funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council. This week's music will be provided by Dave Moore of Greenwich. A member of the Irish band Craic Agus Ceol, Dave plays a variety of musical styles including bluegrass as a solo performer.

The market runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm every Sunday in Railroad Park, Cambridge, adjacent to the Argyle Brewery Depot taproom. Vegetable starts, fresh veggies, mushrooms, eggs, meat, bread, cider, body care products, prepared food, and sweets are available at the market. Local businesses are open. To find out more about the market, check out the market web site at www.cambridgevalleyfarmersmarket.com or like the market on Facebook. See you at the market!
