Vermont's 251 Club, an organization which has encouraged folks to visit all 251 towns and cities in Vermont for the past 65 years, is now also an inspiration for a documentary which just premiered this month entitled, One Town at a Time.
Join documentarian, Mike Leonard, at a free screening of the film at the Rochester Public Library on Thursday, June 6th at 7:00.
Leonard took on the 251challenge with friends and completed the quest. Twelve years later, he revisited many of the same places and re-interviewed some of the same people to learn how Vermont has changed in the 21st century and how it has remained the same.
One Town at a Time is a coming-of-age story that is firmly rooted in the community spirit that makes Vermont's towns so special. You will hear from 251 Club members of all kinds and, after listening to their stories of traveling through Vermont, you'll want to start exploring as well.
