On June 1st, join the Cooperative Invasive Species Management Association for the BattenKill Watershed (CISMA-BKW) at the Arlington Recreation Park to restore native plant communities along the Batten Kill. Starting at 9:30AM, participants will help to manually remove invasive plant species and replant the area with native trees to keep our park beautiful and our river healthy. All experience levels are welcome to join. Volunteers are invited to join even if they need to come late or leave early! Please come prepared for outside work with sunscreen, insect repellant, water bottle, and appropriate footwear. Snacks and extra water will be provided.
Contact the CISMA-BKW at coordinator.cisma.bkw@gmail.com or 442-2275 with any questions. Funding for this project comes from the Vermont Watershed Grant Program.
