Have you ever tried bokashi? How about vermicomposting? Have you ever wondered why some things break down better than others in your backyard pile? Do you want to know what MoCo does with it's food scraps? Curious about how you will have to manage your food scraps according to Vermont's Universal Recycling & Composting law starting next summer?
There are so many things to learn about composting. Thankfully, May 29th is "National Learn About Composting Day" and MoCo is happy to help you learn. Lamoille Regional Solid Waste Management District Organics Specialist, Master Composter, and MoCo Board Member Elly Ventura will be in the store from 4:30 – 6:30pm on Wednesday, May 29th with compost Show & Tell items to provide you with information about all things compost. A live worm bin, active bokashi bucket, and helpful tools and resources will be on display. Stop in to talk with her, learn about composting and do a little shopping while you're there! MoCo is located at 46 Pleasant Street in Morrisville. Visit www.lrswmd.org or https://www.morrisvillecoop.com/ for more information.
