Call for Actors for "The Year of the Salmon" a Community Generated Movie.
Join the Swanton Arts Council for Auditions to be held on Wednesday, May 29th from 10:00am - 12:00pm; on Thursday, May 30th from 2:30pm - 4:30pm or by Appointment Auditions will be held at the Swanton Public Library. Auditions are expected to last no more than 10 minutes and will be held on a 1st come, 1st served "drop-in" basis. Actors of all ages are needed! Filming will take place at the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, June 8th, Sunday, June 9th and Saturday, June 15th.

Help is also needed behind the scenes (filming, prop creation and more.) The Goal of this project is to bring together youth and life-long learners to create a community generated film that incorporates salmon conservation facts and fictional characters which will highlight our natural heritage. The project will also provide learning opportunities in all aspects of film creation. Funding for this project is provided by the 2019 Local Heritage Grant from the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership.
