Please consider joining your neighbors tonight at 6:30 at the Village Meeting House (ground floor of Waitsfield church), to learn more about racial justice, and to identify ways in which you can make a difference. Although race is a delicate, often divisive issue in our society, our group is committed to exploring it deeply and fearlessly.
While we may sincerely care about equality, many of us have been implicitly taught to steer clear of such a sensitive topic. Yet it turns out that our silence not only keeps us from learning and helping, it actually makes us complicit in perpetuating unjust systems.
Come learn more! You may well find hope and inspiration in the tenor of our discussion, in which no one is treated disrespectfully. All are welcome. I look forward to seeing you there.
