Emma Back performs "Strife and Joy," a musical dialogue traversing the inner landscape of human experience. Back's multi-dimensional performance features vocal percussion, haunting melodic storytelling, jazz and klezmer inspired violin riffs and harmonic influences ranging from Eastern-Europe to American Roots. Her 2019 concert series showcases new music that examines the root of strife and joy as felt through loss/love, death/birth, sickness/health and the inner-life of human beings.
