The 'Northfield Commuter' bus line provides a very valuable service to Northfield and Montpelier. However, the line remains in jeopardy if ridership does not increase.
Next week – May 20-24—is a great time to ride the bus to work (and other places!) The Northfield Energy Committee cordially invites you to try riding the bus next week…with incentives to do so!
Monday's riders will start their day with baked good treats, and evening commuters will get to experience a "Mini Mobile Farmers Market" on the bus! Riders will also have the chance to win bus passes, and gift certificates from local businesses—submit your raffle ticket on the bus! Lieutenant Governor David Zuckerman, Representative Anne Donahue, and Town Manager Jeff Schulz will all be riding the bus next week! Stay tuned for more!
Ride the Bus Week is a great time to try out the bus for the first time, or re-commit to riding the bus if you have been a patron in the past. Bring a friend and introduce them to the bus. Feeling active? Go for a bike ride, and put your bike on the bus to get home! If you love the Northfield Commuter, tell us! Post a selfie of you riding the bus next week, or post to Front Porch Forum about why you choose public transit!
You'll need $2.00 and your sense of adventure! Schedules and information available at http://ridegmt.com/gmt-schedules/ Thank you to our generous local sponsors: Northfield Farmers Market, Cornerstone Burger Company, Depot Square Pizza, Cabot Hosiery Mills, Northfield Savings Bank
